The 3 numbers every beginner affiliate should track
Most beginners drown in dashboards. Twelve tools, forty tabs, zero decisions made. This is the opposite of that — the shortest list of numbers you can look at while still running a real business.
Number 1
Traffic in
How many humans hit your one landing page today? Not visits, not sessions — unique humans. If this number is zero, nothing else matters. If it's 20, you have a real experiment.
Fastest fix: Cheap source: two comment replies + one short-form post per day.
Number 2
Opt-in rate
Of those humans, what % gave you their email? Below 15% means your headline is fuzzy. 15–35% is healthy for a first landing page. Above that is a signal you have product-market whisper.
Fastest fix: Fastest lever: rewrite the H1 to name the audience and the outcome in one line.
Number 3
Email-to-click rate
Of the people on your list, what % click any link in your next email? This is the health score of your relationship, not your list size. 8% is the beginner target — anything above 4% means people are actually reading you.
Fastest fix: One clear ask per email. Ambiguity kills clicks.
